After 8 years in software development, consulting and product marketing, Melanie shifted out of technology and into business ownership. Seeing the opportunity represented in the health and wellness sector, Melanie took her expertise in high tech and combined that with what she learned about succeeding as an entrepreneur. Four years later and now a mother of two, Melanie is coaching others in the success of developing their own business with USANA Health Sciences.

In her own search for a balanced life, Melanie realized there are many others who are looking for life balance as well. An avid reader of Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad financial education series, she discovered Network Marketing. She found what she was looking for: a “B-quadrant business” which means that it has the potential to generate cash flow overtime and eventually sustain itself. As she has seen this happen in her business and through her real estate investments, Melanie now teaches these principles to her own team and to others she meets through a Cashflow Club she started in 2006.

Melanie leads a team of business owners who live across the globe. Her organization is comprised of health professionals, real estate investors, educators, stay-at-home parents and experts in technology. They all have the desire for work/life balance. As a business model, network marketing is the most viable way to achieve this, even over franchising, small retail business or service business.

$91,800 US is the average yearly income for an established, full-time USANA Associate (Gold Director and above). $23,225 US is the annual average of those who earned as little as one commission check each month. Surveys show that 83% of all Associates self-report they joined USANA to "improve their health." Of those remaining, 21% earned a check at least once a month even though 56% reported they were not joining to "replace their full-time income." Of those that were, 41% have been Associates for at least one year and 56% are considered full time with the title of Gold Director or above.
